This little biRdie doesn’t like to fly but I sure do LOVE to travel. Most recently my wings (and passport) landed in Mykonos, Greece – who could resist after seeing the sun drenched shots of white building and blue water in Mama Mia and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, 1 and 2? Greek girls have great style with their willingness to rock bold colors and unusual accessories, like colorful mirrored brooches, head scarves, and not-your-typical-gladiator-sandals, natch. Perhaps my most favorite aspect of Mykonian style is that you’re in beach clothes until 10 PM, so everyone makes sure they have a fab cover up on. And I mean FAB. You have your glam queens in chiffon caftans with jeweled embellishment, cotton shirtdresses that look great with a low slung belt, and LOTS of crisp white linen. All go great with a tan! I always like to take note of the local craftsmanship wherever I go. White cotton tops with blue embroidery were everywhere, and my search for a unique arm band ended with these colorful handmade bracelets; I’ll where 2 together and dream in Greek…
